CHEN DANCERS LANTERN CELEBRATION

H.T. Chen &Dancers will be holding a 3 day dance celebration.The festival provides food for thought as well as culinary delights of the Lunar New Year! Performances will include excerpts from several pieces of choreography, ranging from the long unseen Nocturne (1982), a romantic duet created by legendary modern dance choreographer, Anna Sokolow; Eclipse, a visually and emotionally poignant duet from H.T.

LANTERN FESTIVAL

The Fujianese Association will host the 7th Annual Lantern Festival. At 1 pm , this Thursday, more than one thousand lanterns with riddles will be hung in Chinatown.

LUNAR NEW YEAR FOLK ARTS FESTIVAL

The Asian American Arts Centre (AAAC) is hosting its Lunar New Year Folk Arts Festival tomorrow!

LION DANCES

Lion dances will take place this Saturday instead of the traditional Sunday.

Lions will dance in front of Chinatown stores to ring in good luck for the new year.

THE MAYOR’S LUNAR NEW YEAR

Mayor Bloomberg had his Lunar New Year Celebration last night.  

The Mayor had an awesome lion dance troupe from Chinatown perform.  In addition, CICF ice cream was served and is always a hit!  This was a great way to ring in the Year of the Rabbit!
