Christina Seid — Successful Chinatown Ice Cream Entrepreneur — Debuts New Children’s Book

NEW YORK, NY—December 18, 2007— Christina Seid, the 27-year old (Entrepreneur) of the popular Chinatown Ice Cream Factory, recently published her first book, Saturdays in Chinatown, a bilingual children’s picture book that tells the story of a boy whose senses are awakened every Saturday morning during his family's errands and adventures in New York's bustling Chinatown.

Illustrated by (Damian DeMartino and Robb Teer), the colorful book features positive Asian role models and paints a lively picture of Chinatown as seen through an American-Chinese boy’s eyes. Written in both English and Chinese, Saturdays in Chinatown is a delightful read for children and their parents, and can be enjoyed by both Chinese and English speakers alike.

“My goal in writing this book was to show how fun and vibrant the Chinatown community in New York is,” said Ms. Seid. “Being an active part of the community as a Chinatown business owner, and also being American-born Chinese, I have always wanted to share my experiences through the narrative and illustrations of a children’s book.”
